About
Hans Lundy
Hans Lundy is a classically trained fine artist, muralist, and illustrator. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti before coming to the United States of America in 1999 with his family, Hans grew up in East Orange and Irvington New Jersey. He has been trained and mentored by the post-modern figurative artist Williams Coronado.
Coronado exposed Hans to his ideas on using the human body as a vehicle for creative expression on an aesthetic, psychological, and philosophical format. Hans has embraced these ideas and has added the aesthetics of surrealism to create an art that is his personal view of how he sees and understands the world and art. Perhaps his work psychologically reminds us of the things that as a species, humanity can improve on.
Hans also champions collaborative public art, engaging communities and artists to create murals that embody shared visions. His iterative process emphasizes dialogue, adaptability, and honoring identities, ensuring each work reflects both his voice and the spirit of those it represents.
For the last 5+ years, Hans has perfected his craft of creating murals for different spaces and communities, learning how to adapt to different environments using his art to express the things that makes that community unique.
